BEREA, Ohio -- While the Cleveland Browns continue to search for a head coach, the team is now looking into photos posted on a social media site by one of its players.

tweetBrowns wide receiver Davone Bess did not tweet much during the regular season, but since it ended, he has posted a couple controversial tweets and pictures.

The latest tweet in question was posted to Davone Bess' verified Twitter account at 7:20 a.m. Thursday.

The tweet shows a bag of a greenish-brown substance sitting on top of a phone, a similar substance in a pile on the table and a rolled up homemade cigarette with the caption "We Da Real Dons."

The tweet has since been deleted from Bess' account; he also deleted all the pictures off his Instagram account.

Browns spokesman Zak Gilbert told Fox 8 in an email:

"The team is aware of the photos and looking further into the situation, and will deal with the matter internally."

Bess was placed on the non-football/reserve list for the final two games of the season because of what the team called a "personal matter."

The Browns traded for Bess last year during the NFL draft. He signed a three-year extension with the team after the trade.
