CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Cavaliers squeezed a win past the Los Angeles Lakers in an away game win in L.A. Tuesday night.
The Cavs beat the Lakers 120 – 118.
The Cavs’ newest player scored a game high 27 points for the team. Luol Deng put up five 3-pointers in all, followed by Anderson Varejao with 18 boards, 18 points and six assists. Dion Waters finished with 17 points.
Cleveland finished the first quarter leading the Lakers 28 – 23, before struggling in the second. The home team pulled in 40 points to the Cavs 29 going into halftime. A stronger second half pulled the Cavs ahead of the now 14 – 24 Lakers.
The Cavs are also now 14 – 24 for the season.
The team will take on the Portland Trail Blazers Wednesday night at 10 p.m.
