A biologist who’s studied felines for years says your cat may not see you as a human after all.

According to Daily Mail, Dr. John Bradshaw reports that they think of you as just a larger version of themselves.

Bradshaw has been studying cats and their owners for more than 25 years, according to Daily Mail.

In the book, Bradshaw says a cat’s upright tail is a greeting sign among other cats. It’s also a way of saying ‘hi’ to their owners.
