Bomb Threat Temporarily Halts RTA Service

CLEVELAND, Ohio — Train and bus service was halted for nearly 20 minutes Sunday afternoon after a bomb threat was made at the RTA headquarters on West Sixth Street.

According to RTA spokesperson Jerry Masek, the threat was made just after 3 p.m. Service was stopped at the location while operations moved to another facility.

Service resumed around 3:30 p.m., and the headquarters were given the all-clear around 4 p.m. after police and K-9 units swept the building.

About 20 employees were at the office at the time of the threat.
