Painesville, Ohio – A 25-year-old woman is feared dead after a multi-family home catches fire on East South Street in Painesville.

The woman's family said she worked late Tuesday night and may have been sleeping in Wednesday morning.

Her parents said they have tried contacting her friends to see if she may be with them, but her car and dog are both at the house.

Firefighters had to wait for the gas company to come and shut off gas to the home, before they were able to start knocking down walls and search for any victims.

When they entered the home, they recovered one body in a first floor bedroom, according to the Painesville fire chief.

The victim will not be identified for a few days.

Everyone else is said to have gotten out of the house safely.

A cause of the fire has not been determined, but it was first reported as a dryer fire.

I really hope she was able to get out, but the chances are slim. The article said that she worked late, so she probably was sleeping and didn’t relaize what was happening. But MIRACLES to happen..hopefully this is one of them.
