CLEVELAND — Road conditions were a problem for drivers during the Friday morning commute.
The blog below shows some of the areas with the biggest issues.
There were two separate accidents in Painesville on Route 2 West, east of Richmond.
A Turnpike accident on the eastbound past 71 prompted the closure of the Turnpike at Exit 151 (71), but it has since reopened.
Mayfield Road is slick at 271.
GroundFOX has seen multiple cars in ditches Friday morning.
At Rt. 2 W before Rt. 615, four cars spun off the road. Two were at the left wall, two were in the snow on the right.
Rt. 2 west is getting slick and the snow is flying.
At 271 S before Wilson Mills in the express lanes, five police cars are on site to assist a vehicle.
The Painesville and Mentor areas are especially dicey. Please drive carefully!
Accident reported on 90 eastbound before West 44th.
Route 2 between Painesville and Mentor a big issue. Many cars off the road there.
271S headed toward Rt. 303 hasn’t been touched by a plow, Fox 8 Traffic Reporter Patty Harken said.
Plows may have left a build-up of snow at the edge of your driveway. Apron shoveling may be required!
Watch out for accidents on 76E at Wolf Ledges and on 77S at East Avenue.
The left lane of 71N from before Rt. 303 is snow covered.
There was an accident on Rt. 2 eastbound between Rt. 91 and east 305.
The right lane of I-90 eastbound between SR 44 and Paine Road will be closed from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. for safety upgrades. The I-90 eastbound exit and entrance ramp to SR 44 will also be closed. Detour via I-90 eastbound to Vrooman Road to I-90 eastbound to SR 44.
Mentor police advise people to avoid Route 2 in Lake County. Conditions are very, very bad.

Dover Center is closed at Rose because of an accident. Wires are down.
