Flight From Akron Makes Emergency Landing

AKRON — A US Airways flight leaving from Akron-Canton Airport en route to Charlotte, North Carolina made an emergency landing Friday afternoon when the crew noticed a crack in the windshield.

According to Andrew Christie with US Airways, the US Airways Express Flight 4691 operated by PSA Airlines was in flight when the crew noticed the crack and diverted to Bristol, Tennessee.

The passengers were taken off the plane in Bristol and were bussed to Charlotte.

The plane was carrying 50 passengers and 3 crew members.

Maintenance workers from Charlotte traveled to Bristol to inspect the plane.
