CLEVELAND -- Neighbors are shocked and saddened by the news that a father is facing felony child endangering charges in connection to the death of his 3-year-old son.

Homicide detectives from the Cleveland Division of Police arrested the boy’s 26-year-old father after an investigation Friday night at a home on the 3000 block of Project Avenue.

"I just can't understand that. I just really can't understand that," said neighbor, Jason Williams.

According to the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office, the boy, Bryson Marshall, was found dead at 7:40 p.m. when authorities arrived at the home.

Cleveland Police Sgt. Sammy Morris confirms to FOX 8 News that the father may face additional charges after the medical examiner determines a cause of death.

People who live nearby are sickened over what happened. They remember seeing Bryson play outside with other kids at the home and can't believe such a young life was cut short.

“I mean, my kids play with his kids, my daughter played with his son,” said neighbor, Erick Houston.  “Everyday I would see him with his son, getting him from daycare, taking care of his kids and washing clothes– he was going to work, doing the same thing I do, he was no bad dude.”
