The A&E Network announced Friday afternoon that it would resume filming ‘Duck Dynasty’ with its full cast next spring, including suspended cast member Phil Robertson, according to Fox News.

Robertson had been suspended indefinitely by the network after his controversial comments on homosexuality in an interview with GQ Magazine.

A&E released a statement Friday, which read, in part, “While Phil’s comments made in the interview reflect his personal views based on his own beliefs, and his own personal journey, he and his family have publicly stated they regret the ‘coarse language’ he used and the misinterpretation of his core beliefs based only on the article. He also made it clear he would ‘never incite or encourage hate.'”

Fox News reported that the network calls the show “a show about family, a family that America has come to love” and the show is not about one man’s views.

This was the most ridiculous controversy ever. …hmmm….let’s make a show focusing on a family of southern Christian rednecks, and then let’s be surprised and/or offended when one of them expresses the opinion of a southern Christian redneck.

Really? Rednecks speak what they think, unlike the morphs elsewhere. We either stay quiet or speak what people want to hear, being PC and trying to go with the flow.

His opinion was out of hand, however, it was based on the Bible. If you are not familiar with what the Bible says, there’s no use in me trying to make my point.

I am ok with A&E decision, But this in no way a victory for anyone, as many people have posted. Many people on both sides were hurt in this mess! This was not a fight, it was simply a disagreement that was bound to be worked out even without all the hype. It is just sad that this is the ridiculous stuff that we focus on when there are MILLIONS of people that are losing their unemployment benefits and we have starving children in this country!

This IS a victory for free speech and against the thought police, IMO.
Not a simple disagreement by any means, but a rejection of being told what to do and what to think that has gone on for far too long. Phil was too coarse in his declaration but that is his background — that is who he is. I hope he cleans up his wording and continues to stand up for a majority of people in this country who want to be FREE. He is a hero.

A&E took a PC stand, but it started costing them financially. I’ll bet some advertised of Duck Dynasty chimed into them too.

I appreciate, as a retired veteran, Phils reply – (wording is not exact) “X thousands signed a petition to bring me back, yet our veterans are losing benefits due to budget cuts, an no one is petitioning for them”
