CHESTERLAND, Ohio — A post office reopened after an SUV slammed into it Friday afternoon.

The incident was the third of its kind in two years for the Chesterland branch on Chillicothe Road.

It reopened for normal business on Monday after it was deemed structurally sound.

One clerk and five customers were inside when an SUV hit the building and 20 gallons of gasoline spilled onto the property.

No one was hurt.

Prior to that, the last time a vehicle hit the building was in August; one of the windows damaged in that incident had yet to be replaced before Friday’s crash.

Authorities did not release any information on the driver.
