Cavs Lose to Pistons, 115-92

CLEVELAND– The Cleveland Cavaliers were overwhelmed by the Detroit Pistons at Quicken Loans Arena on Monday night, 115-92.

The visitors dominated, allowing only 40 first half points while taking a 58-40 lead.

Josh Smith paced the Pistons with 25 points, while Brandon Jennings chipped in with 21.

Don’t underestimate the contribution of Andre Drummond who scored 14 while grabbing 11 rebounds.

Detroit shot just under 48%.

Cleveland got 21 points and 7 assists from Kyrie Irving, but was without Dion Waiters, who missed another game with tendinitis in his wrist. Tristan Thompson had 17 points.

The Cavs don’t play again until Thursday when they host Atlanta.
