CINCINNATI, OH — An Ohio woman makes a startling discovery 28 years after her wedding.

Sharyl Kittel said her vows at the altar of Milford First United Methodist Church. Now that her daughter Tiffany is getting married, the mother and daughter decided to take a peek at Sharyl’s dress, which has been preserved since 1987.

But a big part of the special moment was missing, according to WLWT.

Somehow, nearly 30 years ago, a dry cleaners, which is now closed, gave Sharyl Kittel the wrong box.

The dress inside was a vintage 1960’s gown, vastly different than Sharyl’s 1980’s dress. The box that Sharyl thought contained her veil was full of baby clothes.

Tiffany had planned to use a piece of her mother’s dress to create a headpiece or veil for her own wedding.
