Infant Skeletal Remains Found in Foot Locker

NORTH CANTON, Ohio — A Stark County coroner’s investigator confirmed two human, infant-size skeletal remains were found inside a locked foot locker.

According to the North Canton Police Department, they were discovered Monday by a man who was cleaning out the mobile home of his recently deceased mother.

The home was located on North Main Street in North Canton.

trunkUpon finding the foot locker and remains, the man contacted the police immediately.

The remains were taken to the coroner’s office and the mobile home was searched.

Nothing else was found.

The North Canton Police Department’s detective bureau and the Stark County Coroner’s Office are investigating.

The remains will be sent to the anthropology department of Mercyhurst University in Erie, Pa. for further examination.
