CLEVELAND-- Cleveland police said a detective opened fire on a suspect, Tuesday night.

Authorities said the incident, which began on Emery Ave. at 5 p.m., was part of a burglary investigation; the suspect was believed to have stolen property and guns.

Cleveland police said once officers found the suspect's vehicle, they approached it and identified themselves as law enforcement officers.

The detective going towards the vehicle on the driver's side said he saw the suspect lean back and point the muzzle of a gun at him. Police said the detective then fired two rounds, hitting the suspect in the neck and chest/shoulder area.

After the shooting, the suspect drove off and officers followed him to a gas station at West 104th and Jasper. That's where the suspect was taken into custody.

He's being treated at MetroHealth Medical Center.

An investigation continues.

Oh yeah ….. the common denominator is as obvious as black and white! The “common denominator” is like an intrusion of cockroaches infesting one neighborhood after another …..

Last night a killing on 145th and Lorain. Tonight a police shooting of a bad guy very close by on Jasper. Holy moly, maybe what all these negative people are saying about Cleveland is true. These are the only two good neighborhoods left in Cleveland…and two shooting in two nights. I’m buying a gun tomorrow. Man oh man…what a shame.

There are no more ‘good” neighboorhood in Cleveland, and have not had any in a very long time. The trash who would rather steal, lie and cheat insted of working, deserves what happens to them. And yes I own a gun and not afraid to use it

The appeasement and kid gloves treatment of “these people” have got to stop. They may be criminals or wannabes but they’re not stupid. So why do we respond so stupidly?
