CLEVELAND, Ohio — A 28-year-old woman has been arrested in an accident where a passenger in her car was ejected, then run over and killed, according to Cleveland police.

Police say there was a man with a gunshot wound to the abdomen in the suspect’s car at the time of the accident.

It all happened around 3 a.m. on Euclid Avenue at Coltman Avenue.

Police say the suspect was driving a 2001 Oldsmobile Alero recklessly and while allegedly intoxicated and over the posted speed. She was headed west on Euclid Avenue, when she rear ended a second vehicle — a 2001 Chrysler 200, said police.

During the crash, a female passenger in the Alero was ejected onto the roadway. The suspect continued on Euclid Avenue away from the accident, before she stopped the car and attempted to perform CPR on the gunshot victim, said police.

Police say he’d been shot at the Park Avenue Night Club in East Cleveland.

After the suspect attempted CPR, said police, she drove back toward the accident site, running over the passenger who had been ejected.

That female passenger died at the scene.

Police say a University Circle officer detained the suspect, who was arrested for aggravated vehicular homicide and felony leaving the scene of an accident. The suspect, along with the gunshot victim, were taken to the hospital for treatment.

The driver and two passengers who were in the Chrysler were not seriously injured.

Ummm, this story is real, certainly…but it seems made up. I mean, come on. And by the way, was she taking the gunshot victim to the hospital at the time of the incident; if so then perhaps she may have a viable excuse for her actions. The story leaves a lot to the imagination.

really a viable excuse????!!!! she should of called 911 if he was shot also how do you go back and end up running over the passenger who got ejected, as long as she was going to the hospital that should be ok?

Call 911 in East Cleveland!!!!!!! What a joke!! East Cleveland should be taken over!! I was being robbed and called 911, East Cleveland police told me “If you can get away come across the street to the police station.” They are worthless!!

The store is real I know the people in the other car. They could have been killed also and it took place in Cleveland. Wow

And where were the police when all this stuff was taking place. It sounds like 45 minutes of drama and the police weren’t even on the scene of the body in the street after the suspect took off? Sounds to fantastic to me.

Hey, on the bright side, her doing CPR must’ve saved his life, as he was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Then again, in her drunk mind he may’ve needed it… he was probably screaming “stop, that hurts!” the whole time she did it.

The reason you can’t call East Cleveland Police is because they are all in trouble now for the shooting deaths of that couple. They are too scared too help anymore. As an East Clevelander, it scares the hell out of me. However, this story has nothing to do with the East Cleveland Police. This story is about a drunk person who made some terrible decisions that will affect them the rest of their lives.

WOW!!! I’m listening to all of this while drinking a soda and chowing down on some popcorn. Is this going to turn into a mini-series? What a ridiculous chain of events!

At the end of the day two families are affected by this. Who can honestly say what they would do if put in such a situation? I’m praying for the family that lost the young lady, im also praying for Shamanique because i’m sure she never intended to do such a thing. This is horrible and people are so judgmental and evil that they are quick to make evil remarks. God be with these families at this time. And for the record no it would not be a good idea to call East Cleveland police and think they will respond in a timely fashion to save a persons life.
