SUNBURY, Pennsylvania — Newlyweds are accused of luring a Pennsylvania man to his death with a Craigslist ad because they wanted to kill someone together, according to WHP.

Elytte Barbour, 22, and Miranda Barbour, 18, both face criminal charges in the death of Troy LaFerrara. Elytte told police he had his wife had planned to kill before, but that plans never worked out until last month.

Elytte told investigators he waited in the backseat of the couple’s SUV as his wife picked up LaFerrara from a mall on Nov. 11. He claims he wrapped a cord around LaFerrara’s neck while Miranda stabbed him 20 times. The couple then disposed of LaFerrara’s body.

Miranda told police she stabbed LaFerrara in self-defense after she said he started groping her.

Elytte Barbour told police his wife regularly hired herself out as a “companion” to men she met on websites.
