President Obama: ‘Countless Millions Drew Inspiration From Mandela’

(CNN)-- The world has "lost one of the most influential, courageous and profoundly good human beings" with the death of former South African President Nelson Mandela, U.S. President Barack Obama said. "He belongs to the ages."

The president, speaking shortly after the announcement that Mandela passed away, said, "I am one of the countless millions who drew inspiration from Mandela's life."

President Obama went on to say, "We will not likely see the likes of Nelson Mandela again. We have to forward the example that he set."

Former President Bill Clinton is also remembering Mandela. He tweeted shortly after his death.
