Bond Set For Wife Accused of Poisoning Judge

ASHTABULA, Ohio– A $100,000 bond has been set for a 71-year-old retired nurse accused of poisoning her husband, a judge in Ashtabula County.

After a brief hearing, a visiting judge from Chardon set Carla Hague’s bond. Carla Hague did not appear in court.

She is accused of poisoning her husband of 45 years with antifreeze. Ashtabula Judge Charles Hague became sick in September and was rushed to the Cleveland Clinic. He is recovering at home.

If Carla Hague is released on bond, she is not permitted to have any contact with her husband.
