CLEVELAND —  It is week #14 of Friday Night Touchdown and time for the Final Four in the OHSAA Football Playoffs, with 10 schools across Northeast Ohio playing for berths in one of next weekend’s seven State Championship Games.

In Division II, Highland’s dream season fell one game short of Stark County.

The top-seeded Hornets ran into a buzzsaw against the talented Tarblooders of Glenville (13-1).

Marshon Lattimore played like one of the best players in the country, catching a season-high four touchdown passes from QB Quan Robinson, Jr.

Erick Smith added an interception return for a touchdown as Glenville eliminated Highland 41-13, sending Coach Ted Ginn’s Tarblooders to next weekend’s Division II Championship Game against the winner of Zanesville/Loveland.

Defending Division III State Champion St. Vincent-St. Mary (14-0) extended its winning streak to 20-games with a gritty 17-9 victory over Columbus Marion-Franklin (12-2).

The Irish advance to their second straight Division III Title Game against Trotwood-Madison (11-2) which routed Clyde (12-2) 54-7.

In Division IV, eight-time State Champion Youngstown Cardinal Mooney (10-4) ran past Steubenville (9-5) 37-7.

The Cardinals could hoist their ninth OHSAA Playoff trophy with a win next weekend over Clarksville Clinton-Massie (13-1), which stunned unbeaten Kenton (14-0) 21-20.

In Division VI, Region 19, Kirtland (14-0) won for the 43rd time in the last 44 games, edging a very tough Columbus Bishop Ready team 10-7 on Bradley Hauptman’s last second 22-yard field goal.

The win sends Coach Tiger LaVerde’s Hornets to their third consecutive State Championship Game against Haviland Wayne Trace (13-1).

The State Semifinal action continues Saturday, with top-seeded St. Edward facing #2 Mentor (12-1) in the Region 1 Final, in a rematch from the 2012 Playoff classic, which the Cardinals won 63-56.

In Division V, Akron Manchester (11-2) will battle Columbus Bishop Hartley (12-1) for a trip to Stark County.
