VIDEO: Officer Pulls Man from Burning Truck

WEST CAPE MAY, NJ — A courageous police officer says he doesn’t think of himself as a hero after he pulled an unconscious driver from a flaming truck.

Monday, Patrolman Scott Krissinger spotted a truck engulfed in flames, according to ABC News. Krissinger didn’t hesitate as he raced towards the vehicle.

He says when he opened the driver’s side door, smoke rushed towards him. He was able to reach in and drag the unconscious driver, Gerald Ferrill, 61, to safety.

Ferrill remains in the hospital in critical but stable condition, according to ABC News.

    smart officer! He didn’t panic and thought it through to check for a passenger. Really easy to get “Focused” on what is in front of you (the first victim) and not think through that there may be a second.
