My Town: Church Hosting ‘Operation Christmas Child’ Event

NORTH OLMSTED, Ohio — A local church is hosting a Christmas event to support hundreds of children around the world.

North Olmsted Evangelical Friends Church is holding its Fall/Winter Craft Show on Saturday, December 7, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The church is located at 5665 Great Northern Boulevard.

Proceeds from the show benefit Operation Christmas Child, the largest event of its kind in the world. The money is used to purchase toys, school supplies and hygiene items.

Operation Christmas Child has collected more than 100 million shoebox gifts since 1993. The items are packaged in shoeboxes and sent to children in more than 100 countries.
