Turkey Takeover: 2K Birds to be Distributed to Families

CLEVELAND, Ohio — Part of Euclid Avenue will be shut down today for the distribution of nearly 2,000 turkeys to needy families in East Cleveland.

The “Turkey Takeover” was set to run from noon to 3 p.m. in front of East Cleveland City Hall.

Turkeys, fresh produce and bread along with other vital resources and donations were to be handed out ahead of Thanksgiving. Also on tap was entertainment and family activities.

Euclid Avenue between Marloes Avenue and Beersford Road will be blocked off for the event.
