CLEVELAND —  The Cleveland Indians announced on Wednesday the addition of five players to the team’s 40-man roster.

RHP Bryan Price joined the club from the Triple-A Columbus Clippers. Price, 27, from Grandbury, Texas was acquired by the Indians from Boston with Justin Masterson and Nick Hagadone for Victor Martinez in July 2009.

Also added were RHP Austin Adams, INF Jesus Aguilar and OF Carlos Moncrief from the Double-A Akron RubberDucks. Adams was the Tribe’s 5th round pick in the 2009 draft out of Faulkner University and Aguilar was originally signed by Cleveland as a amateur free agent in November 2007.

Moncrief, 25, was selected by the Indians in the 14th round of the 2008 draft. Baseball America named him as the “best outfield arm” in the system entering the 2012 season.

INF Erik Gonzalez from the Single-A Carolina Mudcats and Designated INF Cord Phelps were also added to the 40-man roster.
