CLEVELAND, Ohio — A part-time Cleveland animal control officer was arrested for driving under the influence after an on-duty accident Saturday, according to police.

It happened at around 6 p.m. at East 55th Street and Grand Avenue.

The officer sustained minor injuries, and another driver involved reported non-life threatening injuries, according to police.

According to a release from Marty Flask, director of public safety, the officer will be placed on unpaid administrative leave, and an administrative hearing will be convened “as soon as practical.”

If the allegations are true, said the release, the officer faces discipline “up to and including termination.”

amazing that even a police officer, protector of the law can drink and drive and also injure some one, and get to keep his license with no jail time, while a person getting stopped with some marijuana ( not hurting anyone ) get the maximum sentence in jail and also loose their license.
What a Stupid Law that Drunk Drivers and keep hurting people with not that much of a consequence but a person with a little bit of weed can result in the imprisonment for a long time..
So much for a fair law system…
