Man Arrested in West-Side Robberies

CLEVELAND — Police have arrested a man wanted for two robberies in the last week.

Ryan Dorty, 22, of Cleveland, was arrested on an Aggravated Robbery warrant Thursday in the 8300 block of Denison Avenue without incident.

Police say he was wanted for an aggravated robbery at a Subway restaurant on W. 25th Street on Sunday, November 10. Dorty was also identified as the suspect in a robbery at a Family Dollar store on Ridge Road on Tuesday, November 12 where a store clerk was shot.

Dorty has been charged with Aggravated Robbery and will appear in court on Monday.

Police believe he is a possible suspect in other robberies on Cleveland’s west side. Anyone with information is asked to call Cleveland police.
