1 Shot During Robbery at Family Dollar

CLEVELAND, Ohio — A man was shot during a robbery at a Family Dollar in Cleveland Tuesday night.

According to Cleveland police, it happened at about 8 p.m. at the store on 3545 Ridge Road. Police said the suspect entered the Family Dollar, produced a handgun and attempted to hold up the store.

During the holdup attempt, the suspect fired one shot, hitting a 22-year-old clerk in the abdomen. The suspect then fled on foot.

The victim was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center, according to police. A condition was not available early Wednesday.

The suspect is described as being black, in his 20s, about 6′ tall and weighing 160 pounds. He was wearing a black jacket with a gray hooded sweatshirt and dark pants, according to police.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call Cleveland police.

    Let me get this straight. Every time I’ve tried to enter family dollar carrying my man purse I was blocked by security and not allowed in, but a guy can walk in there with a gun.

      It seem that way that was my cousin that was shot and this happen at a dollar general same kind of store for what afew bucks hes still in credical care few more surgeries on thursday

    The 22 year old that was shot is in very critical condition or was when he entered the hospital it is one of my old friends cousins. And this person who shot him looks exactly and sounds exactly like the person who robbed the US Bank on Harvard think about it link the two together and find vidios or something because now you know he has a weapon and who knows what other damage could be done.
