Hostage Situation at Willard Business

WILLARD, OH — Authorities are responding to a hostage situation at a Willard business.

According to authorities, three people, including a gunman, are inside the Family Dollar on Walton Street West.

Authorities say no one is injured at this time and a hostage negotiator is on the scene. Outside departments have been called in to help.

U.S. 224 between S.R. 103 and S.R. 99, was closed for several hours but the City of Willard tweeted it has since been reopened because the ’emergency condition no longer exists.’
