CLEVELAND – A judge has ordered a psychiatric evaluation for a woman facing her second child endangering charge in six months.

Danielle Weems was arrested earlier in October after her van was stolen with her sleeping child inside.

Weems appeared in Judge Pinkey Carr’s courtroom Tuesday morning for a hearing on a previous child endangering case from April.  She no longer has custody of her child.

Judge Carr ordered her to get the mental evaluation and return to court Nov. 20.

On Oct. 9, Weems said she left the sleeping toddler in the van as she visited relatives on Seymour and when she came back out, she realized her van was gone.

Police found the van about an hour later, parked behind an abandoned house on West 23rd Place.

The toddler was still sleeping in the back seat, and was unharmed.
