CLEVELAND, Ohio — A representative for Horseshoe Casino Cleveland confirmed power was restored to the Higbee Building around 11:20 a.m. Tuesday after an hours-long outage that morning.

Gamblers on the second floor of the casino were interrupted around 5 a.m. when the power went out.

They were asked to cash out and move to other areas and the second floor was shut down.  It has since reopened.

Generators were used to temporarily supply power to the rest of the building and gaming continued.

It was later determined a transformer had failed, causing the outage.
