HARTVILLE, Ohio — A Hartville man died when his car overturned during a crash Saturday night.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, it happened just before midnight on state Route 43 between the intersections of Lake O Pines Street N.E. and State Street N.E.

Mark S. Conti, 24, of Hartville, was driving a 1997 Saturn SL2 south on state Route 43. His car went left of center, and was hit by a 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt being driven northbound by Anna R. Miller, 21, of Hartville.

The Cobalt hit the Saturn in the right front passenger door, forcing the Saturn off the east edge of the roadway, where it overturned.

The Saturn came to rest on its top.

Miller was injured and taken to Mercy Hospital before being flown to Akron City Hospital.

Conti was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
