Thousands of FirstEnergy customers are still without power after Thursday's snowstorm.

A total of about 18,000 were without power Friday morning.

FirstEnergy officials did say most service would be restored by midnight. But for some, power may not be restored until noon on Saturday.

That's because the damage is so spotty, with heavy snow on top of branches full of leaves.
