Cleveland Diocese Remembers Bishop Quinn

CLEVELAND — The Diocese of Cleveland is mourning the loss of Reverend A. James Quinn, Auxiliary Bishop Emeritus.

The Diocese announced Bishop Quinn died early Friday morning at his home in Westlake.

Bishop Quinn was ordained a priest of the Diocese in May 1958. He was appointed an Auxiliary Bishop on October 14, 1983 and ordained on December 5, 1983.

Bishop Quinn retired in June 2008 and resided at Saint Ladislas Parish in Westlake.

Funeral arrangements have not been set.

    This is so sad. He was a kind man and a great priest. We were honored to have him celebrate our son’s Confirmation just 3 weeks ago and our daughter’s Confirmation 2 years ago. He will be truly missed. We are thankful he will received his reward in Heaven with our Lord.
