Police Look for Driver in Cyclist Hit-Skip

CLEVELAND — Police are looking for a driver who seriously injured a bicyclist in a hit-skip Saturday morning.

Police say around 10:30 a.m., a bicyclist was riding south on the Denison Avenue entrance ramp to I-71. The suspected vehicle was traveling behind the 76-year-old cyclist and lost control, swerved into the right shoulder and hit the victim.

According to Cleveland police, the bicyclist was ejected into the road and the vehicle took off.

The vehicle is described as a late model Chevrolet Cavalier 4-door. It’s dark blue in color with tinted windows. It may have damage to the left front, left side and windshield.

Anyone with information is asked to call Cleveland police.
