NASHUA, NH — A popular children’s game has been banned at recess.

Officials at a New Hampshire elementary school say too many children were getting hurt during ‘tag’ at recess, so they are putting an end to the game, according to WMUR.

Charlotte Avenue Elementary School’s principal says playgrounds offer a chance for kids to be active, but also have risks. The numerous injuries have prompted school officials to review their playground rules.

Other schools across the country have also banned the game of tag.

We played this game all the time when I was in school. We had a riot.Bumps and bruises were the extent of injuries. You can get bumped and bruised just walking out the front door in the morning. So why did school higher ups say no more?
