BROOKLYN, New York – Dinner minus the chitchat. A New York restaurant is attempting to reinvent the way people dine.

According to multiple sources, the restaurant Eat offers a four-course-meal for $40. During the 90 minute meal, people must eat in complete silence.

The 28-year-old managing chef of Eat, said he was inspired to host the meals after enjoying silent breakfasts at a monastery in India.

Several diners said the experience was “more relaxing” than a traditional restaurant.
