Bond Set for Suspect in Mother and Son Murder

STOW — A judge has set bond at $1 million for a man accused of killing a mother and son in Tallmadge.

Daniel Tighe, 39, of Akron, is charged with Aggravated Murder in the death of his five-year-old son, Peyton Ralston, Murder in the death of his ex-girlfriend Wendy Ralston and Felony Domestic Violence, according to Tallmadge police.

The victims’ bodies were found wrapped in bedding behind their home on Stone Creek Drive on August 10.

Tighe appeared for his arraignment via video on Friday; he did not enter a plea.

His preliminary hearing has been set for October 10.
