WICHITA, Kansas — A Kansas liquor store owner is trying to find the person who left a bag of cremated human remains at his liquor store.

“People left phone, key here all the time, but I’ve never seen stuff like this,” Charlie Win, store owner, said.

Win knows who’s in the bag of ashes because it has an identifying tag.

The ashes belong to Helen K. Dapron.

She was born on October 5, 1930 and died in 2010.

Win has been working to find the owner of the ashes for two weeks.

“I tried to post it on the door, tried to return this one to someone but I, no one come forward and claim for this bag,” Win said.

Win also posted it on Craigslist.

Win said he is committed to doing everything in his power to find the owner.

“My main thing is I need to return to somebody. This is very important to someone. This is someone grandma,” Win said.

Win said he reviewed numerous hours of surveillance video to see if he could identify the owner, but had no luck.
