Officer Injured While Responding to Call

CLEVELAND — A Cleveland Metropolitan Housing Authority officer was injured in a two-car crash Thursday afternoon while responding to a call.

According to police, the officer had his lights and sirens on when he hit a pole at Lorain Avenue and Fulton Road.

The air bag deployed. The officer was taken to the hospital for a hand injury.

The other driver was not injured.

No other information was released. Police are still investigating.
