CLEVELAND–The Cleveland Indians are in the playoffs for the first time since 2007 and playoff merchandise is flying off the shelves.

The Indians released two items Sunday afternoon, including a hat and a navy blue t-shirt that reads, “Postseason 2013, Indians Baseball, we play for October.”

“We had two items hit the shelves. It is the same shirt that all the players were wearing when they were spraying themselves with champagne and beer after the game,” said Kurt Schloss, VP of Concessions with the Cleveland Indians.

At the Indians Team Shop in Fairview Park, adult shirts are completely sold out.

Only youth small shirts remain.

“That’s why I came up here, to get something new to wear for Wednesday. I’m wearing my old playoff shirt from 2007,” said Jim McElwee, long time Indians fan.

But fear not, fans. There’s plenty of time to dress for success before Wednesday’s wild card game at Progressive Field.

“We are expecting over $200,000 of more product coming in Tuesday and Wednesday before the game. So, we should have plenty more gear for fans between now and game time,” added Schloss.

Wednesday’s game is already sold out.

“It’s gonna be like a Game 7 experience down here. Hopefully everyone shows up to support them Wednesday. I’m excited,” said Moe Jaber, fan.

Fans are excited about the possibility of a Wild Card win and maybe another t-shirt for the closet.

“Hopefully, I’ll be back getting an American League Championship shirt or even a World Series,” added McElwee.

Meanwhile, the Indians are encouraging fans to ‘Rock Your Red’ for Wednesday’s Wild Card game. They want fans to wear red clothing to support the team.
