Check for $2 Million Found on Subway

MADRID, Spain — It’s not your average lost-and-found item!

According to The Huffington Post, a maintenance worker for the Madrid Metro system spotted a wallet lodged in a subway door. The wallet, which appeared to have been stolen, had a check inside for $2 million.

The check was issued to a California man and post-dated for January 2014.

The check is now in the hands of the Madrid National Police, who are searching for its rightful owner.
