Burger King is introducing a new kind of french fry that promises big taste with less fat and fewer calories.

“Satisfries” will be introduced at the fast food chain beginning today.

The new fries are crinkle cut.

According to the Burger King website, the fries will have 40 percent less fat and 30 percent fewer calories. Burger King said a 70 gram serving will have 6 grams of fat and 150 calories. Compare that to 11 grams of fat and 227 calories for the same size order of McDonald’s french fries.

The chain will still offer its traditional fries. However, the “Satisfries” are expected to cost as much as 20 – 30 percent more per serving.
