Officers would not immediately release his name.

The victim was identified as Prescious Johnson, 27.

Around 5:45 a.m., Johnson told a clerk at the Marathon gas station on East 55th and Woodland that she had been taken.  She also gave a license plate number.  It turned out to be that of her own vehicle.

In a news conference, police said Johnson then got back into a red Saturn Vue that belonged to her.

The suspect was arrested at East 185th and Euclid about six hours after the victim reported her own abduction.

Police said Johnson suffered some injuries but was in "pretty good condition."
