DAYTON, OH -- A suspect's daring jump to freedom left him flat on the pavement and behind bars.
According to WKEF, officers were traveling about 15 to 20 mph with Eric Simmons in the back seat. Simmons, 42, was picked up after he was accused of breaking into a home.
When he was placed in the cruiser, a new officer failed to put handcuffs on him. The officers also left the back window down.
As the car was in motion, Simmons reached his arm out of the cruiser window, unlocked the door and went tumbling onto the street.
