BEREA, Ohio– The Cleveland Browns announced Wednesday that they traded Trent Richardson to the Colts.

At a press conference, Wednesday night, Cleveland Browns Head Coach Rob Chudzinski responded to the trade and said, “The opportunity as an organization was there for us to have a chance to get better, ultimately, and it felt like the right decision overall.”

The Browns will get the Indianapolis Colts’ first-round selection in the 2014 NFL Draft for the running back.

CEO Joe Banner said, “Trent’s a great player and we expect him to have success in this league. Right now, based on how we’re building this team for sustainable success, we’re going to be aggressive and do what it takes to assemble a team that consistently wins.”
