CLEVELAND — Two people were identified after their bodies were discovered at a Cleveland apartment Monday.

On Tuesday, the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office said one of the victims is Monica Curry, 39, of Cleveland.  The other is Earl Norman, 54, of Cleveland.

A mail carrier found Norman’s body in a driveway behind an apartment building on Norwood and Lausche on Cleveland’s east side around 1:30 p.m.

Curry was then found in an upstairs apartment.

“He found the first victim, a male, in the driveway. He was unresponsive. He called police,” Sgt. Sammy Morris said. “Both victims appear to have gunshot wounds to the head.”

Police had to put a sheet over a fence at the crime scene because Norman’s body was found outside, and the fence is directly across from St. Martin de Porres High School.

School administrators stood outside as children were let out of school just feet away from the crime scene.

Police said they are treating the deaths as a double homicide, but would not say if they had any suspects or were looking for anyone.

Anyone with information is urged to call the Cleveland Police Homicide Unit at  (216) 623-5464 .
