Search for Sexual Assault Suspect Ends in Crash

BRIMFIELD, OH — Police say the search for a sexual assault suspect ended in a police chase and crash Sunday morning.

Around 10:30 a.m., a bank employee inside the Brimfield Walmart called Stow police and said Filip Konstantinovich was a known customer and inside the store.

Upon arrival, a Tallmadge police officer spotted Konstantinovich in his car and followed the vehicle out of the parking lot.

A police pursuit ensued, but ended when the suspect crashed into a utility pole.

Konstantinovich was uninjured and immediately taken into custody by Tallmadge and Brimfield police.

He was taken to the Stow City Jail for processing and will be transported to the Summit County Jail.

He’ll be arraigned Monday morning.
