FNTD Week #3: West Side Roundup

In Wellington, the Dukes were playing their first home game of the 2013 season as they hosted Edison.  It was a turnover battle in the first quarter, as Edison had two fumbles and an interception, but went on to route Wellington 40 to 7.  It was Edison's second win of the year as Wellington has now been outscored in three games 129-21.


In Elyria, it was the Jordan Connell show as the Pioneers hosted the Midview Middies. Elyria outscored Midview 26 to 0 in the second quarter en route to a 53 to 17 win.  Connell carried the ball 17 times for 188 yards and 4 touchdowns.  QB Hunter Parsh was 18 of 24 for 271 yards and 3 touchdowns as the Pioneers moved to 3 - 0 on the season.


North Olmsted used a fourth-quarter comeback to beat North Ridgeville 35 to 28.  Rangers quarterback Jason Lucas had a couple of touchdowns including one that was called back because of a holding penalty.  Friday's loss was the first of the season for the Rangers as the Eagles stay unbeaten with the win.
