My Town: Greek Festival on the Heights 2013

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, Ohio — Northeast Ohio is invited to an annual four-day festival celebrating Greek culture and cuisine.

The 56th Annual Festival on the Heights kicks off Thursday, August 22 at the Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Cathedral, and will last through Sunday, August 25. Festival hours are 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday, 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. Friday, 12 p.m. to 11 pm. Saturday and 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday.

Several Greek bands, including Two Green Bands and Renowned Hellenic Dancers are scheduled to perform at the festival. Along with authentic full meals, the festival is offering free cooking classes to attendees and a flea market in the church’s lower level.

The celebration will also include a Kids Corner for its youngest visitors.

Admission is free, as is a Park & Ride Shuttle leaving from Severance Mall to the Festival on the Heights.

The Saints Constantine and Helen Green Orthodox Cathedral is located at 3352 Mayfield Road in Cleveland Heights.
