Police: Former Player Attacked Football Coach in Home

SHARON, Pennsylvania– A football coach was attacked by one of his former players inside his home, WTAE reported.

Authorities said the 38-year-old man, who played for Sharon High School Football Coach Jim Wildman two decades ago, broke into the coach’s home in Sharon, Pennsylvania, and bit him on the ear and nose, choking him.

The coach told WTAE that he didn’t recognize the man when he showed up “in a fit of rage.”

Wildman needed 60 stitches.

The man who attacked him could soon be charged with aggravated assault.
