ARDMORE, OK — A mother and father were arrested after their baby died from heat injuries, according to KOKH.

Investigators say Angela Randolph, 26, and Christopher Randolph, 28, were arrested Wednesday and charged with child neglect.

The family was traveling from the Columbus area to Oklahoma in a vehicle where only one window worked.

The family stopped at a local convenience store for help. The baby’s mother was so distraught that the clerk had to perform CPR on the child.

The baby was taken to the hospital where she later died.

Heat exposure is indicated as a contributing factor, but the medical examiner will have the final report on a cause of death.
